05/16/13: An update from Sage's foster mom "Sage has settled in beautifully here in her foster home. She is a good girl and does so many comical things. My dogs have accepted her and she has taken to emptying their toy bin on a daily basis. She will pick up a stuffed dog toy and carry it outside down the deck onto the patio then back up again. It is so funny. My contractor is installing paving stones in the backyard and there was a pile of dog toys he had collected. She really has no bad habits and would do just great in a home with other doggies. She has met the bird and shows some interest but is easily redirected. She comes when called and understands the word "no". She is very good on a leash and may be housetrained. I am going to give that a few more days before I make that declaration. All who meet her love her. Me neighbor said that she is the most beautiful puppy he has ever seen. The postman, who gives biscuits, says her eyes are hypnotizing. They are a beautiful yellowish/brown. Her middle name is Jolie-Pitt (yes she hyphenates). Sage-Jolie-Pitt has a nice ring to it. She knows the command sit and I am working on paw. She goes to the vet tomorrow for vaccinations and I have to have him look at her ear for possible infection. I am cleaning it twice daily and applying tresaderm but I don't think it is responding. She loves her veggies and had some steamed spinach with her organic meat and epigen tonight. She is very healthy and growing well. I don't think she will be to big." 05/08/2013: Sweet, sweet, Sage! Whomever adopts this little girl is going to be very lucky! Sage is doing great in her foster home and loves to play with her foster brother and soak in the sun! She sleeps through the night and is doing very well on her potty training. Please consider adopting this sweet girl! 04/23/13: New pics, update posting soon 04/11/13: Can you believe we're 9 weeks old! A long week for the family The puppies and Mia are all home from surgery (spay/neuter) and recovering. The puppies are bouncing (literally) back very quickly. The surgery was a little harder on Mia and she is still very sore and tired. All of the puppies also received their first inoculation and have been wormed once. We did have to get them a bordetella as they are heading to boarding, we were hoping to have homes for them all by this time but sadly we only have 3 approved homes which leaves 7 puppies and Mia in boarding. Please consider fostering or adopting one of these sweet hearts. Mia had thinning hair so we had a skin scrape done on her, luckily she tested negative for mange. The doctor said it was due to the malnutrition from pregnancy and nursing. We were so ecstatic to hear she is back up to a healthy 54 ponds, her nipples are drying up great and she only needs to put on 3-4 pounds. Mia also received her inoculations, rabies, and bordetella. It?s been a long week for the Mia bunch and it?s not over yet. Friday and Saturday they are being transported from Georgia to New York where they will be ready for their homes and/or going into boarding. All of these dogs are wonderful, playful and are deserving of loving homes. 04/07/13: Thank God The Pups Are OK We sighed a collective sigh of relief as the puppies started to respond to the medical treatment prescribed by the ER doctor. They healed quickly and are all back to their normal happy playful selves. We brought them back to the vet for a checkup and the doctor said they have fully recovered. We still aren't sure what made them sick but we are certainly happy that they are all better. The doctor gave the OK to go forward with their spay/neuter surgeries which is scheduled for Tuesday. Can you believe we're 8 weeks old already!!!! This is going to be a busy week for "The Mia Bunch". Mia and all of her puppies are getting
